Description
Something special about the way morning light transforms a room.
There are places we discover in the world, and others we seem to carry somewhere inside us.
A Beautiful Somewhere is an original 24 × 30 inch acrylic and gel medium painting filled with quiet water, distant evergreens, an open pastel sky, and an abundant garden of wildflowers.
Layers of pink, yellow, lavender, blue, and white blooms rise from the foreground with texture and movement created with gel medium. Beyond them, the water becomes quieter, drawing the eye toward the trees and a horizon washed in soft shades of pink and blue.
Rather than representing one particular destination, this piece captures the feeling of finding a beautiful place and wanting to linger there just a little longer.
A place to wander. A place to breathe. A beautiful somewhere.
