Hi, I’m Julie.

I’m an artist, traveler, creator, and lifelong believer that beauty can be found even in life’s most unexpected places.

For more than 30 years, my professional life has been centered around creativity through website design, marketing, and helping others share their stories with the world. But somewhere along the way, painting became something more than a creative hobby. It became a place to slow down, listen, explore, heal, and create without expectations.

What began as curiosity evolved into a passion.

Today, I create original watercolor and acrylic paintings inspired by travel, nature, personal growth, and the moments that often go unnoticed. Some pieces begin with a memory from a place I’ve visited. Others emerge from a feeling, a season of life, or simply a color palette that refuses to leave me alone.

My work is not about perfection. It’s about possibility.

It’s about allowing a blank canvas to become something unexpected and trusting the process along the way.

My Artistic Journey

I didn’t grow up thinking I would become an artist.

In fact, if you had asked me years ago, I would have described myself as a web designer, marketer, business owner, wife, mother, and volunteer. Art entered my life later and quietly began teaching me lessons about patience, courage, creativity, and letting go of the need to control every outcome.

Each painting represents a moment in that journey.

Some are bold and colorful. Others are soft and reflective. Together, they tell the story of growth, healing, joy, resilience, and discovering beauty in the unfolding process of life

What Inspires Me

Travel and the places that leave a lasting impression.

Nature and the changing seasons.

Color, texture, and movement.

Personal growth and transformation.

Everyday moments that make us pause and pay attention.

The stories we carry and the experiences that shape us!

Artist Statement

I believe we are all works in progress.

My journey as an artist has grown alongside my journey through healing, travel, and learning to embrace life’s unexpected paths. Every place I’ve explored, every season I’ve lived through, and every challenge I’ve overcome have changed the way I see the world, and ultimately, the way I paint it.

I don’t begin a painting with a detailed plan. I begin with curiosity. Layers of color, texture, and movement unfold naturally, allowing flowers, landscapes, and moments of wonder to emerge in their own time. Rather than trying to control the outcome, I’ve learned to trust the process, both on the canvas and in life.

Nature continually reminds me that growth isn’t rushed. Wildflowers bloom where they can, rivers find new paths, and every journey leaves its mark. My travels have shown me breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cultures, and quiet moments of reflection, but they’ve also taught me that the most meaningful journeys often happen within. Those experiences find their way into every painting, not as literal places, but as feelings of hope, peace, resilience, and possibility.

My work is a reflection of the beauty of becoming rather than the pursuit of perfection. Each painting is an invitation to pause, breathe, and discover something personal within the layers. My hope is that the piece you choose becomes more than art on a wall and becomes a daily reminder to stay curious, embrace growth, and trust that beauty is often found in the journey itself.
