Description
Blessings is a gentle reminder that gratitude has the power to change the way we see the world.
Created with acrylic paint on an archival 5×7 cotton duck canvas, this original painting combines expressive white blossoms with the repeated handwritten word Blessings, woven throughout the composition as both texture and message.
I created this piece as an invitation to slow down and notice what is already present. So often we spend our days searching for the next accomplishment, the next answer, or the next season, while countless blessings quietly surround us.
The repeated word isn’t meant to be read one time. It’s meant to become part of the painting—just as gratitude becomes part of our lives when we practice seeing it every day. Layer upon layer, blessing upon blessing, the message gradually transforms from words into something we simply feel.
For me, this painting is about perspective. The blessings in our lives aren’t always loud or dramatic. Sometimes they’re found in a quiet morning, a kind conversation, a blooming flower, or another opportunity to begin again.
